Felt Craft

Felt Craft is fun to make. It requires no fancy tools, and suitable for any ages.
Cutting, gluing, a little sewing and decorating is all you have to do. You will end up doing it more than one piece, you won't even realize when you are hooked.

I made this Christmas ornament for sale, but sure I keep some of them to decorate my Christmas tree. For the last 2 years I always make myself a handmade Christmas ornament.. and I will be doing it every year... something to remember !

Ethnic Doll

Since I love doll.. then I have a reason to buy a doll whenever I have a chance. I only bought one that really touched my heart.

So, I got this doll in Thailand.
Beautifully crafted.. with bright color fabrics.. I almost can not pick one, because they are all adorable. Alas, I didn't get the picture of them while I was there...

This is the one that I like.. A mother holding her baby on her back...


This doll now is on my console table in the foyer....
I love seeing her everyday....

This doll is small. I can put her on the palm of my hand.. it purpose is for a keychain..

Karena saya menyukai boneka, saya mencari boneka etnik dari tempat yang saya kunjungi.
Saya hanya membeli boneka yang benar2 berkenan di hati. Boneka Ibu yang menggendong anaknya sungguh menarik perhatian saya... bagus ya?

Fascinated about butterflies

I love butterflies...
Fluttering around the flowers.. with their amazing delicate wings...

I can' t imagine how a caterpillar becomes a beautiful butterfly... Oh my !
This is just to remind me that we also can become as beautiful as those butterflies if we wait patiently in the process.

So..making a butterfly quilt is my expression to show how I love them so much. This is still a working in progress..


Saya suka kupu-kupu
beterbangan mengitari bunga-bunga.. dengan sayapnya yang rapuh namun warnanya sungguh menawan...

Saya tidak dapat membayangkan bahwa kupu-kupu itu berasal dari ulat.
Ini mengingatkan saya bahwa kita pun dapat secantik kupu-kupu, jika kita mau sabar dalam proses kehidupan ini.

Membuat quilt kupu kupu ini tentunya lahir dari kecintaan saya pada kupu-kupu.
Quilt ini masih berbentuk blok yang belum disambung dan belum di quilt....

The Mansion House Quilt

By the year of 2000, my sense of color isn't really developed yet. I used a " safe color pallete" for making this quilt. But anyhow, I love it..
I trained my eyes to be aware of so many colors available.. and paid attention to everything surround me.. I learn a lot about color.. and what I thought is an impossible combination back then is just make sense to me now...

This Mansion house Quilt is machine pieced, Hand applique and Hand quilting.

Every Quilter always work with their heart... so it is kind of give away a part of you when the quilt is SOLD. But it is also a rewarding feeling, that somebody treasure the quilt because they care.

This Quilt has found a new place..






Pilihan warna untuk membuat Quilt pada waktu itu, tahun 2000 memang masih dikategorikan aman- aman saja. Saya banyak belajar mengenai warna, dan mulai lebih memperhatikan warna-warna yang ada disekeliling saya.

Kombinasi warna yang dulu bagi saya tidak mungkin, sekarang rasanya bisa diterima.

Setiap pembuat Quilt pasti mengerjakannya dengan sepenuh hati, jadi kalau Quiltnya terjual rasanya ada sebagian diri yang ikut pergi juga. Namun, biasanya juga yang membeli Quilt itu adalah orang yang mengapresiasi pekerjaan tangan... Ya kan?

Quilt ini sudah menemukan rumah barunya..

Christmas Bazaar

On November 2009, I received a message on my cell phone..
Asked if I was interested to join their Christmas Bazaar at school.
So.. as you can imagine.. my heart was pounding a little faster..
It was a joyful moment when I prepared everything for that bazaar.

So.. this is my spot..
Did you see my blue rag doll? and my turtle amigurumi which found its home after bazaar.
My accessories.... necklace.. earings.. bracellets..
Unfortunately I can't hang my quilts... so I just folded them, and showed the customer when they approached my table.
Hopefully I can join more Bazaar in the near future...

Ikut Bazaar itu menyenangkan...
Saya senang sekali sewaktu dihubungi untuk bisa menjadi salah satu vendor di Bazaar Natal.

Lihat boneka batik biru ? dan amigurumi kura-kura.. yang telah mendapat rumah baru setelah bazaar. Dan juga aksesoris saya?
Sayangnya, saya tidak dapat memamerkan Quilt dengan menggantungnya...

Log Cabin Quilt

Log Cabin quilt is always a charm..
Lots of variation can be done just with moving around the block
Sure you gonna have fun, before you decide which is the best for you...
I did this Log Cabin Quilt back in 2000, and I enjoyed every stich I made in this Quilt. I treasure this one till today....

I choose a shade of Blue and Green, with a little square red as an accent with not so fancy fabrics collection, machine pieced and hand quilted.


Pola Log Cabin memang selalu memberikan hasil yang memukau, meskipun sederhana, kita dapat membuat banyak variasi.
Quilt ini saya selesaikan pada tahun 2000, dan saya sangat menyukainya dan tetap menyimpannya sampai sekarang.

Warnanya perpaduan Hijau muda dan Biru/ Hijau Tua... dan ada sedikit warna merah untuk aksennya. Bahannya 100 % katun dengan motif yang sederhana. Metode penyambungan kain dengan mesin jahit dan diquilt dengan tangan....

Baby Quilt

There is always another projects dancing on my mind while I was still doing the other project. And this one, the baby quilt is on my mind for quite some time.. it will be white with pink flowers on it.. with a heavy hand quilting...
and I think this is what I want it to be.....
