Someone wants me to make a quilt with brown color... I guess I need to train my eyes not only to the bright like I used to like... but also look to the subtle color of the earth...
Calm... that's what I feel.
I'll do the bargello with a modern twist...
Aha... how will it turns out...? Let me do the design first... ok... then the sewing... then the cutting... and sewing again....

Well... I just got this gorgeous solid batik emboss for my quilting project.
Love it...
Solid color is good. it gives a nice rest to the eyes to relax after seeing lots of patterns.
Solid is good for backing , for a focal point... or for a back ground..
For example : Amish
quilts use only solid fabrics.. and heavy hand quilting that are so wonderful. And now.. Modern Quilt use more solid color than pattern, and they turn out gorgeous !
If you see any solid color at fabric store... Think twice... but not more than that.. cause you might regret if you don't buy it and added to your fabrics collections.
