A new challenge

I joined a group of sewing enthusiast...at Face Book. It is a Craftalova.  It is good to know people that share the same interest with me.   They are just  gave me the boost to create something.  I'm so glad that the lady who organized this group is active . She always keeping us busy  to share our sewing project.. and literary we support, inspire and gave information to each other about sewing world everyday. :)

They shared their works and I shared mine.. from amigurumi, pincushions, skirt and quilting projects, and others share their works from clothes to tote bag.. and many more...

There are a mini parade to showed our little things such as doll or pincushions or brooches.. to name a few and  challenges to create stuff from fat quarter fabrics which is really lots of things they can make with a piece of FQ fabrics. and there are sew along projects with a tutorial..
Fun.. Fun... Fun...

Most of this sew lovers now are into the handmade bags and wallets... things that I never tried to make before... I would love to make them... someday. I now this kind is not my cup of tea.. but I think it is good to get out from my comfort zone.

And now.... there are a challenge to make a project with color preferences. Hot and Cool color..
Sure I want to challenge myself... to joined the crowd..
This excites me... at least for a few days my brains is busy thinking... drawing the design and making something.  Hot and Cool color is the choice to make 3 category of stuff : Accessories, Home decor and Bag and purses.


I choose to make accessories with hot and cool color .. since my table is now full of beads and soutache.. and anything related to accessories making so...I might choose to make a pendant.
Whew... hope I can do it and submit it on time. 
( * confidence... yeay... I'm better every day ) 

I'm still working on my skill to make soutache jewelry... which is really not easy for me... with trial and error I did it. .Why did I want to make something that is really difficult for myself to handle ? ooo that is because... the result of soutache jewelry is so pretty. ooh well pretty is not enough.. it is awesome.. it is stunning. or is there any word can describe soutache jewelry ? This kind of accessories really no limits at all. U can do whatever you want with those cords and beads... u can make it simple... or can make it "WOW".

My favorite color is Turquoise that will be a focal point. 
The color combinations are : Blue- Green as Cool color with Orange and Pink as Hot color.

I make a sketch.. but usually it ended up differently. because I make changes as I go along. :) he he typical me.

As you see.. it is attached one by one... whew... hard work indeed...
But I love the result...This is it....

Now I am ready to submit this...

Hmmm..what would I do after this... ? Going back to Quilting I guess :)

Soutache

I am kinda of curious person. I am eager to know if I can make pretty things and love to explore more what I can create differently.

When my eyes caught a jewelry works made with soutache then I just felt the urge to try it. Rush to the craft shop and looking for the supplies. Well I have lots of beads, so what I need is just the cord called soutache.  
I tried to make a brooch.. but I am telling you this is not easy... I did trial and error.. and almost give up. My fingers are poked with those sharp needle, but hey... don't ever give up ! 

All you need is be patience with yourself... trust your instinct... and in no time you'll see your creative juices will be flowing... and your hands are busy.

This is what I called pretty things... I made this... Yeay me !
I am not to the level of  satisfied yet. I need to practice more to get the finest result I can be proud of.

Feels so great after accomplished this small beading project.

Crochet necklace

Crochet is my other addiction. :) Can't help myself for not doing anything or thinking about making something.

Art and Craft is the best therapy for my hands and my minds..... :) or I can say that this kind of activities allow me to be myself unlimitedly. LOL . One of them is Crocheting.

This is what I make with yarns, beads and fabrics... I'm quite satisfied with all of them... but needs to make more... but I know my limitations with my  two hands I can't speed making this necklace. I can't catch up with what I see in my mind. I need assistant actually, but till then I just have to be happy doing this all by myself. :)

This is unique necklace. I haven't reproduce it even for different color selections. 

Merajut itu jelas mengasyikan... aktivitas yang membawa kepuasan pada saat merajutnya atau setelah melihat hasilnya... wah pasti deh maunya duduk manis dan merajut... dan kemana-mana bawa benang, gunting dan hakken.. jadi seandainya harus menunggu ada yang dikerjakan... waktu tak terbuang dan hatipun senang... :)

Tanganku memang rasanya tidak bisa diam dan dalam pikiranku juga selalu ada ide2 yang bermunculan. Aku membuat kalung rajutan ini dari benang rajut dan beads .

Kalung ini bagus untuk siapapun yang berani tampil unik..

Batik Necklaces #2

I just can't handle my mind and my hands. when they want to do something with any ideas that was come up.... my hands start creating things...LOL

But the same thing about what I do is everything handmade... and they are my labor of love... they came from my heart... that is for sure. Art from the heart to be precise.

I start making jewelry.. when I joined  bazaar a few years ago.  That things sell well.. and the story continues.. I make accessories           ( necklace, earrings, bracelets and brooches ) from all kinds of material... fabrics, ropes, yarn..zipper, ribbons, beads, sequins... 

Mixing and matching become an addictions... what I love the most is especially when some one like it and buy it. :), so I can create more..     

I'm thinking to make a new blog just for my handmade accessories... but now I still juggle with my time... I don't think I can handle 2 blogs to maintain...

Selain Quilts and boneka.. aku juga suka buat aksesoris... suka memadu padankan semua pernak pernikku... dari beads... batuk.. payet..kain.. benang...

Rasanya senang kalau lihat orang pakai sesuatu yang unik... Ini beberapa koleksi kalung batikku... biasanya aku pakai macam2 bahan untuk membuat aksesoris ( kalung, anting, gelang dan bros )

Batik necklace #1

I like making small things.. because it can be finished in a short time. Making necklaces are one of them. 

Now I learn photoshop... whoo hoo  felt good because I gained more knowledge how to modify pictures, put some words ...and it looks a bit sophisticated to me.

I find a new way to take a photo shoot now... I want something different than just put my necklace on the display as usual.
Look at this now... :) ( big smile on my face )

One day I want a model wearing this necklaces... LOL so.. you can see how it looks if somebody wears it. 

Belajar photoshop untuk memodifikasi foto itu sesuatu yang baru untukku... kalau liat foto2 yang mengiklankan produk tertentu itu dibuat untuk memberi kesan yang baik pada saat pertama kali orang melihatnya. Hmmm kerja dibalik itu ternyata tidak mudah..

Biasanya aku meletakkan kalung2 ini di display kalung yang terkesan sangat biasa.. tapi sekarang aku belajar bagaimana untuk mengharmonisasikan dengan warna background.. atau disatukan object lain tapi tetap kalung batiknya yang jadi fokus utama.
