Selvages Quilt

I save those selvages fabrics for quite some times... so when they are adding up I thought it's about time to make something out of those selvages...

First I sew them row by row..
then use them like I want to.
This time I would like to make a wonky house Quilt.

I love house quilt... but wonky house quilt ? like them better for their quirky appearance.. it was really related to my brain which sometimes just can't go straight. LOL

I make one to see if it working nicely, and I kinda like the result..
first, this is intended for a mug rug... then the size is too big so I make a pillow instead.

I still have those selvages fabric... enough to make a baby Quilt size :) I'll do a baby quilt version for wall hanging Quilt I guess. Whaaa.... that would be nice... :)

Fabric Wallet

Everyone would love this kind of wallet... it is handmade, pretty fabric and affordable... :)

Actually I really hope that my hobby will be payed by itself... well you know what I mean... I don't feel guilty whenever I have the urged to buy more fabrics.... Well before I get to that point, I need to improve my sewing skill...

This is my second attempt to make a fabric wallet..
I will sew more... practice makes perfect...

And I make a pouch with the same fabric too...

Recycle fashion show

All Kindergarten's program are full of  fun for either kids and parents and one of them makes me excited. Recycle Fashion Show for kids....

One mom asked me to make a patchwork fabrics

This is the result of those patchwork...
Love the color. It took me days to finished it... LOL...

I sew them together... and looks good covering my couch... :)
 

This is 3 meters long patchwork !

And this patchwork will be used as a dress for a Recycle fashion show....

Today... I saw lots of creative moms showing their talents... they are all lovely.... especially when the kids show them  on the stage...

Country Doll

I took Country doll workshop... it was fun...  

The teacher prepare a kit for us... make it all easy to do...

:) Wow I can imagine the hard work she did before the workshop.

This is the appearance after the doll is stuffed.

 And.... tha daaa... This is my doll... :)

What is so good about workshop is that you can finished making something in a day !.. it is rarely happened if I did it at home...
with lots of  interruptions and mood changing... :) LOL

And meeting friends who share the same interests was really fun...

After this I'm looking forward to join a Bag workshop...
Whoo hooo..... Well... I'll be back to Quilting like before... but this kind of adventure is really makes me improve my skill...
Wow... this is what they say about : " Do not underestimate a woman behind a sewing machine...."  I got it ! :)

Sling Bag

Wow.... I make a step forward and stretch my ability to make  new ( beautiful) things....
I took a one day Bag course and.... this is how it turns out...
I might have to change the handle with leather and the latch seems to stand out. Leather will be nice, I guess.
 

First bag isn't scary at all.. and I can handle it well, including sewing the liner zipper. :)



I know after this, I'll be busy auditioning fabrics... to make a second bag. Wheee heee...




Gaining a new skill adding confidence for myself....

Glasses case

Easy project to make...
Glasses case for me. :)

This would be a nice gift for some one you love...

 Can't believe that now I always need glasses to read and to sew... ooh owh... I just can't deny it. 
A good thing is that glasses comes in colors... and I like wearing it.

Yoyo flower applique

I have lots of yoyo's fabrics. So... rather than just hiding in the drawer.. I took them out and arrange a flower arrangement.

Then fill them up till full... the more the merrier...

Hand Quilted and added buttons in the center flowers...

I made a pillow cover !
Yeay me... I love it.

Aku punya banyak yoyo kain yang dibuat dan disimpan di laci... jadi daripada bersembunyi terus... maka disusunlah seperti bunga di dalam vas. Perlu banyak yoyo berwarna warni supaya meriah.... dan juga kancing untuk pemanis.

Di Quilt tangan.. hasilnya lebih menul2.... ha ha apa ya istilahnya.
 
Dibuat sarung bantal deh...
Sepertinya kurang ya kalau cuma satu... ya siap2 buat lagi :)
