I bought this japanese fabrics months ago..
and don't know what to make with this.. because this is only 1/8 yards. It is quite expensive.
Japanese patchwork are famous with those colors and the little applique... oooh I can't do it... they are too small. They make a sunbonnet sue on the coin pouch... wow.. my eyes just couldn't take it anymore...
so.. I make with I had in mind...
a coin pouch... look at those little zipper... cute right ?

It is not perfect... but functional...

A short discussion with a friend leads me to a Zipper conversation. A whole bunch of Zipper !!! He has lots of them and have no idea what to do with them because his friend just gave up the bag production. When I saw them my heart was jumping for joy... knowing that I can use this to make my future projects of pouch, wallets, bags and accessories...
I'm into pouches, wallets and bags these days... so it just make sense if I want to have the zipper.
and last year I also make a brooch zipper... but you know.. before I can explore more about it... I'm distracted with other things that come along the way...
Then Bham... suddenly these Zipper now are in my sewing room. Still can't believe my eyes. I have lots of them.. in a few colors too.
These are more than I expected and may be more than I need.

Making little cutie things that are useful is my favorite. One of them is a pincushions..
A few weeks ago someone buy 10 pincushions. Wow..
I guess she would like to make them as a gift. :)
I'm trying to make something I never done before.
since I like mannequin... then I tried to make one...
and with Mary Engelbreit's fabric.. it comes out beautifully. I just love it.
It is not quite slim... LOL.. need to trim those 'fat' filling then....

This is the second time I made fabrics wallet. Trial and error seems just ocured. Well, I learn from my mistakes.. sometime I made mistakes because I just don't follow instruction.. I just thought I can make this kind of things... but the real thing is not that easy.
Like this wallet.. I just cut a piece of fabrics without really care about precision.. well you get the idea... I did undo it many time before I really satisfy..
The bias is a bit bigger. I need to improve it for the next wallet. I think it will look better with small bias.
Not bad for the first project.
as usual... every cute sewing projects can make me having a sleepless night. Too excited... and definitely this is a new addictions...

Ini adalah dompet yang kedua yang aku buat... beberapa kali di dedel karena potongan kainnya miring... atau jahitan kurang rapi. Bisbannya yang warna hijau juga terlihat besar ya ? kalau dikecilin pasti lebih baik... ok d... untuk dompet selanjutnya..

I made this wallet to join the crowd in my sewing group, and really love it. since it doesn't take a long time to finished it. It makes a great gift too... and the important thing is it is functional !
I take all my fabrics out and sort which one will be end up as a wallet. Excited. I cut them all together so I'll save time. Next thing to do is sew... sew... sew....

I need some improvement, but I like it.

I made a pouch and a glasses case... Yeay another milestone for me...

Yes I did, because I gather all kind of good character in me to reach my goal. Persistence. Patience. Good ambition.
The process is just an ordinary drill... but making this by myself... is really something.
